REINFORCEMENT STEEL BARS (TMT)

Reinforcement steel, specifically TMT bars, are commonly used in the construction industry due to their high tensile strength and durability. TMT bars are made by a special process that involves quenching and tempering, which gives them superior properties compared to traditional steel bars. These bars are essential for providing structural support in buildings and infrastructure projects, ensuring the safety and stability of the structures. Overall, TMT bars play a crucial role in reinforcing concrete structures and are a key component in modern construction practices.

Grades:- FE 500, FE 500 D, FE 550 , FE 550 D

Application:-

  • Construction of Commercial
  • Residential and industrial buildings & complex
  • Auditoriums
  • Bridges
  • Flyovers, roads and all type of Infrastructure projects

GFRP BARS

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars are relatively new and innovative materials in the Indian construction market. These bars are made of high-strength glass fibers embedded in a polymer resin matrix, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability. GFRP bars are lightweight, non-corrosive, and have a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them an attractive alternative to traditional steel reinforcement in specific construction projects. They are also non-conductive and non-magnetic, making them ideal for use in structures where electromagnetic interference is a concern. Despite being new to the Indian market, GFRP bars have gained popularity for their numerous advantages and are increasingly being used in various construction applications. Their long-term durability and sustainability make them a promising choice for the future of construction in India.

Application:-

  • Underground water containing structures
  • Non shear walls
  • Parking and Plinth
  • Raft slab and walls
  • Swimming pools and ponds
  • Retaining walls
  • Distribution steel in One-way slabs
  • Heavy Industrial floorings
  • As rock anchors in basement slabs
  • Shore piles and many more infrastructure projects.

For approach slabs: –

  • Bridge Decks and Bridge Deck Overlays, Walkways of Foot Over Bridge, Slab Culverts
  • Continuously-Reinforced Concrete Pavements (CRCP)
  • Retaining Walls
  • Noise Barriers
  • Box Culverts
  • Crash Barriers and Bridge Parapets
  • Pedestrian Parapets and Railings
  • Bulkheads and Bulkhead Copings
  • Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall Panels and Copings
  • Drainage Structures
  • Plain Concrete Components
  • Boundary walls

MS WIRE

Binding wire is crucial in RCC construction, as it helps secure TMT rebars in their designated positions and maintains the structural integrity of the rebar cage. This is achieved by knotting the wire, made of mild steel or annealed wire, at the intersections of the longitudinal and transverse reinforcement bars.

Binding wire is used whenever steel bars are present in RCC construction. It is tied at joints placed at specific intervals according to the engineer’s design. During the pouring of concrete for beams or slabs, the bars need to be held in place, a function served by the binding wire. For thinner wires, a simple hand tool is sufficient for tying.

It’s essential that the binding wire is free from paint, grease, or corrosion. High-quality, factory-produced wires from modern plants ensure there are no compromises in quality. It’s also important to be aware of the tensile strength of the binding wire, which should typically range between 250 to 430 newtons per square millimeter.
